Kamala [“comma-la”] Harris is the Democratic VP running mate of Joe Biden! History making!

Full disclosure…I am a proud Howard University Alumna and Senator Kamala Harris graduated a couple of years before I arrived on campus.

When the VP pick was announced, I was so excited as a Howard Bison! As a woman! As a black woman! Tears came to my eyes because Senator Harris is MY generation!!!! My generation!!!!! She graced The Yard of The Mecca (Howard University is called “the Mecca” of HBCUs) six years before I did. We share the Howard experience.

And she could be Vice President of the United States!!!

Representation matters!

Now I know how previous generations felt when they saw Sidney Poitier on TV. When they saw Diane Carroll on TV. Like wow! The possibilities of my life as I approach 50 years old feels endless…just with this VP pick. It’s surreal!

That being said, let’s address the those who do not like nor approve of Kamala. Does she have a perfect record? Probably not! Does she have aspects of her DA past that some may not agree with? Yup.

Regardless of how you feel about Bison K and Biden, we know this ticket will LISTEN and can be held ACCOUNTABLE.

The current occupant has proven that he gives ZERO damns about this country and the people who reside within its borders. He gives ZERO damns regardless if you voted for him or not.

WE MUST VOTE HIM OUT!!!! PERIOD!!!!

If you don’t like what you think she stands for; hold her feet to the fire!

HOLD HER ACCOUNTABLE and VOTE IN NOVEMBER!!!!!
